Review of “The Origin Speaks”

Have you ever thought about who or what God is or who the co-creators are? Or even, what is beyond God? What if God was indeed finite and that there was a much bigger “infinite” being, one that created God and the co-creators? In “The Origin Speaks: The Direct Dialogue with the Ultimate Creator” by Guy Needler the reader is taken beyond the author’s two volume “Beyond the Source” books to a direct dialogue with the ultimate creator, the “all there is”, the “absolute”, The “Origin”.

It should be noted that Guy Steven Needler was initially trained as a mechanical engineer and quickly progressed to being a chartered electrical and electronics engineer. However, throughout this earthly training he was always aware of the greater reality around him, catching glimpses of the worlds of spirit. “The Origin Speaks: The Direct Dialogue with the Ultimate Creator” is impressively well written, organized, and thoroughly ‘reader friendly’ in both content and commentary, making it very highly recommended for personal and community library Metaphysical Studies reading lists.

Review of Feng Shui from the Inside, Out

Professional Residential and commercial Feng Shui consultant Victoria Pendragon presents Feng Shui from the Inside, Out a guide that emphasizes that in order for Feng Shui to benefit the practitioner, they must be ready to take advantage of the good fortune that comes their way. Blending Feng Shui tenets with a do-it-yourself technique called “Sleep Magic” to revitalize one’s outlook and approach to tackling difficult problems, Feng Shui from the Inside, Out is both inspirational and transformative. “Multitasking does not bring the body peace and it hampers its ability to bring your mind peace, and when I say peace what I am talking about is a condition of significantly reduced stress. Stress releases something called cortisol into the body. Cortisol breaks down the body. Cortisol ages organs of the body. Anything you can do to simplify your life will reduce stress levels and since life comes with stressful challenges that you have no control over whatsoever, taking control where you can, help.” Feng Shui from the Inside, Out is enlightening and thoroughly accessible to readers of all backgrounds, including Feng Shui novices. Also highly recommended is Pendragon’s previous metaphysical and spiritual self-help guide, “Sleep Magic”.

Convoluted Universe Book V, by Dolores Cannon (Ozark Mt. Publishing) 240 pages — The fifth volume in the wildly successful Convoluted Universe series is, in the words of the late author, “like a big box of mind candy.” It is meant to be tasted, enjoyed, and pondered over. Here are new concepts and theories about the true meaning of virtually everything of universal significance. Like Dolores Cannon’s previous books, this volume covers a startling range of topics: explorations of alternate universes, time travel, pyramids, extraterrestrial assistance, Big Foot, mermaids, gold, reincarnation, and much more. From the Foreword: “For those who are just now joining us, welcome to the adventure and the journey. For those who have been part of the entire journey, welcome back and I hope you find more interesting concepts as we continue the adventure. So read with an open mind and be prepared to have your minds bent and twisted like a pretzel. After all, pretzels are an interesting shape. They really resemble the symbol of infinity, don’t they?”

Fantastic Adventures in Metaphysics: An Extraordinary Journey into the Nature of Reality, by Michael Perlin (Ozark Mountain Publishing) — This book explores the secret teachings of all the great philosophers and spiritual geniuses of our time and reveals the common theme throughout all of them. According to the esoteric schools of advanced knowledge, certain divinely inspired teachers brought spiritual, philosophical, and scientific knowledge to the human race following a global cataclysm. This planet has a history of unexplained phenomena that still baffles scientists today. There have been structures built all over the world that are simply out of place and out of time. Have humans been on the scene much longer than we previously thought? Did they leave us clues in writing, sacred geometry, and architecture about who they were and where they came from? Do these clues reveal the truth about who we really are? Who are we? This book explores these questions without favoring any one religion. Prepare for an incredible journey into our ancient past and into the world of Metaphysics.

A New Earth Rising, by Charmian Redwood (Ozark Mountain Publishing) — In A New Earth Rising Charmian Redwood shares information about the steps we need to take to prepare ourselves and our loved ones to move smoothly into the new world of peace. We passed through the portal of December 21, 2012, so now all of the energies on the planet are set for us to ascend into our light bodies where we live from our own divine consciousness in a physical body. The Earth is returning to the garden where all is peace and harmony once more. Charmian used hypnosis to guide eighteen people forward into the New Earth to experience what it will be like. Each one had the same experience of being joyful, physically healed, vibrant, and seeing everything restored to harmony and peace. We have the power as Divine Humans to co-create this shift on The Earth with gentleness and ease. Mother Earth is birthing herself into a new form and we, as humans, are birthing ourselves into our Divinity. We can make the difference between an easy birth or a traumatic one by choosing to move consciously into the New Era of peace and love. A New Earth Rising is a book of hope and inspiration at a time of fear ande disintegration on our planet.

We Are the Creators: A Little Everyday Philosophy, by L.R. Sumpter (Ozark Mountain Publishing) — This is a positive message about your soul’s power, your life’s purpose, NDE’s (Near Death Experiences), déjà vu and your spiritual guides. It demonstrates how everyday features of modern life such as democracy, television, airplanes, computer technology and instant communication establish that we live in a new age that has suddenly broken away from the last 10,000 or more years. It proves that we have new spiritual powers that have been suppressed for years. We can find out what sort of beings we really are and how we create the things that are in our world. Spiritual Counselor Nancy S. Jones writes: “A new and clear Channel has appeared on the horizon of lightworkers. L.R. Sumpter’s willingness to allow his gift to the earth in the form of this book is a blessing to us all. In the midst of earthly and cosmic turmoil, the wisdom of this information will feed your soul.”

LIFE FLASH/DEATH FLASH

by P. M. H. Atwater, L.H.D.

 LIFE FLASH

The headline reads:  “Bright flash of light marks incredible moment life begins when sperm meets egg.”  Sarah Knapton, a science editor, covered this story.  In a nut-shell, the news she reports is that there has just been a major breakthrough, one that is scientifically verified, about how light announces conception.

The conclusion of this research:  when sperm meets egg, an explosion of fireworks occurs.  This light flash has been captured on film again and again.  Always happens.

“To see the zinc radiate out in a burst from each human egg was breathtaking,” says Professor Teresa Woodruff at Northwestern University.  Researchers from Northwestern University in Chicago also noticed that some eggs burn brighter than others, showing that they are more likely to produce a healthy baby.

Eggs flash as they meet sperm enzyme, capturing the moment life begins.  This is huge news!  For the complete story of this research finding, refer to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2016/04/26/bright-flash-of-light-marks-incredible-moment-life-begins-when-s/

Death Flash

Because of this research we now know that a light flash (life flash) occurs at conception.  We also know from previous work, that a death flash occurs when the living die.  This announcement was originally made by a Polish physicist by the name of Janusz Slawinski, a member of the faculty of the Agricultural University at Wojska Polskiego in Poznan, Poland.  He was convinced from his research that a “deathflash” takes place whenever any organism dies, humans included.  He explained that this flash is an emission of radiation ten to one thousand times stronger than normal, and contains within it information about the organism that just released it (from my book Coming Back to Life, pages 141-143).  His finding was spurned at first, then upheld by other researchers who came after him.  For more about his work, refer to http://newdualism.org/nde-papers/Slawinski/Slawinski-Journal%20of%20Near-Death%20Studies_1987-6-79-94.pdf.

As a researcher of near-death states since 1978 and with 15 books on the subject to my credit, I call your attention to some similar items on this subject:

  • ·         Think about The Holy Shroud, stored at a church in Turin, Italy.  It is believed to be the burial cloth to have covered Jesus after his crucifixion.  It exhibits an exact imprint of the man’s body it once wrapped in both positive/negative formats and containing such detailed information, that there is only one way this unusual imprint could have been made. . . with a flash photolysis (the breakdown of materials under an intense emission of radiation/light).
  • ·         A person before they die, suddenly lights up, has a kind of glow about them.  Some nurses say this happens maybe three days before death.  Then later, most relatives and/or medical staff see this, a kind of glow, just before death occurs.
  • ·         Near-death experiences, many of them, involve a splash of light, suddenly finding yourself bathed in light, being in light-filled worlds. . .  always an otherworldly light of great brilliance.  Some adult experiencers say this light is brighter than 10,000 suns – instantly you’re fried but there is no pain.
  • ·         Intense transformations of consciousness, kundalini breakthroughs, “mountain-top” experiences, spiritual awakenings, etc. usually involve the individual suddenly finding his or herself surrounded by, filled with, or facing radiant light.  Always a special light.

Since I died in 1977 (three times in three months and each time had a near-

death experience), and sometimes when I begin to meditate, I’ll look out at what seems to be the world and I see lights flashing on and off.  Lights.  I know these are moments of conception and moments of last breath.  Back and forth, light and darkness, motion and rest.  And I am filled with joy and peace, that just to be a human occupying a physical body for however long, having life, participating in the many dramas of Earth, is the greatest of gifts – and I am grateful.  What science has done now is to validate what the spiritual has always shown us.  Life flash, death flash.  Light, a blessing as part of our comings and goings, such a treasure, such a comfort.

TWO UNUSUAL CASES OF REINCARNATION

by P. M. H. Atwater, L.H.D.

I’d like to tell you about what happened during two hypnotic sessions I conducted in my days as a hypnotherapist in private practice specializing in past-life regressions.

The daughter of a woman I knew proved to be an excellent subject.  She had no agenda, just the desire to see if she could do it – be hypnotized.  Much to my surprise she went deep fast and changed characteristics instantly.  No longer was she the young woman I knew, but an Englishman in every respect, older in years, and obsessed with moving from his flat overlooking the Thames River in London to a dreary cottage in Ireland.  Through hypnosis he was revealed as a successful barrister who became a judge, then promptly retired, much to the shock of those who knew him.  Unmarried, he had engaged his housekeeper in sorting through a library of books and papers, fine paintings, and other possessions of taste and style.  He determined who would get what, saving but a small pile for himself.

As my session with him advanced, he spoke of taking what was left to Ireland.  In the center of the tiny house he had purchased there, he placed a large, comfortable rocking chair and spent the rest of his days in that chair reading his favorite books, until he died from the cancer that had been growing inside him.  What made this hypnotic session so different, even traumatic, was what occurred after the man expired.

Regressionists on occasion will allow their client to experience the death they underwent in a given life, perhaps even the funeral, if it seems appropriate in helping that person gain a better understanding of any issue that might be troubling him or her.  I had no choice in this case.  Suddenly, the man manifested himself as a distinct energy form apart from the now-silent young woman, yet hovering over her.  Still another energy form took shape to my left.  I could plainly see and hear both forms.  Soon they started yelling at each other, screaming.  I was dumbfounded.  Nothing in my training or years of practicing hypnotherapy had prepared me for this.

The second form claimed to be the man’s mother.  She had been waiting for this moment to face her son so that she could explain to him why she had given him away soon after his birth.  His hatred for her was so vile, his opposition to her sobbing pleas so unreasonably strident, that I forced the issue and became a mediator, giving each ample time to speak while the other had to listen.

The story that tumbled out was a sad one.  She, a poor barmaid in Ireland, had been raped by a customer then shunned, as if the rape had been her fault.  She had no family and barely subsisted, giving birth in a dirty hovel.  Her boy child was a wonder, deserving she felt of a better life and a good future, so she placed him in a basket and left in on the front steps of an orphanage in a nearby town.  She died of starvation soon after, wracked with the guilt of having to abandon her baby.

His life in the orphanage had been cruel.  He was belittled often for being a castaway and teased about his mother, with taunts that even she couldn’t stand him.  He ran away as soon as he was strong enough, stole aboard a boat, and landed in England.  Resourcefulness won him a series of jobs and enough schooling to apprentice in a law firm.  A talent with debates and clever political posturing guaranteed him a lucrative career, but no time for women, which suited him just fine as he didn’t especially like females.  When illness cut short his ambition, he picked as the place to die the cottage that was directly in front of the orphanage where he had once lived.  He notified them of his action and promised funds.  It was the orphanage staff who found his body and buried him.

Once both entities had a chance to speak, a profound healing and reconciliation took place.  The energy forms evaporated when my client regained consciousness.  Her eyes seemed as big as saucers as she launched a volley of “oh-my-goshs.”  She had hated her mother since childhood without any logical reason to feel that way; she had been drawn to law in college and excelled on the debating team; and she never had a love relationship that interested her, preferring study to dates.  The next morning she and her mother listend to an audiotape of the actual regression.  The last part between mother and son did not record, only my words could be heard.  But to them, that was enough.  Again, a profound healing and reconciliation occurred; the past had become the present so that an old wrong could be righted.  The intensity of reactions, the utter realness of the session, challenged everything I thought I knew about life and death, reincarnation, and time and space.

Not long after, a young man from northern California made an appointment with me.  He, too, was curious about hypnosis and whether or not there was anything to the notion of past lives.  He was unusually receptive and quickly slipped into a deep trance.  His consciousness shifted to life in ancient Greece where he captained a large army.  A patriot, he relished all aspects of war and soldiering, from torturing spies to killing hordes.  He also took great pride in his wife and four children, remaining as faithful to them as he was to his calling.  He died in what for him was the glory of battle after thirty years of defending his sovereign.

My client moved next in consciousness to a life at the foot of the high Himalayas, where, as an itinerant healer, he roamed from village to village with little but a beggar’s bowl and the rags on his “toothpick” of a body.  He never had a love affair or fathered children, but delighted instead in the opportunity to help others, which he did for thirty years.  While stumbling along a mountain road one day, he suddenly collapsed.  No one offered a hand.  He died as if he were but a wad of dust hardly distinguishable from the dirt under foot and sandal.

I was aghast at the story the hypnotized man relayed.  So, before I brought him back to full consciousness, I decided to try an experiment.  I wanted to see if I could make contact with the all-knowing voice that spoke to me through his mouth.  That voice wasn’t like the ones I had heard from previous clients.  It was wiser, special.  I verbally requested permission to do this, unsure of “who” or “what” might answer.

Immediately, the room in which the session took place, with me sitting in a chair and him outstretched on a sofa, became incredibly hot.  Although it was night, everything began glowing with a light far brighter than that provided by any of the lamps.  A voice spoke that seemed to emanate from a source other than the man’s lips and it permeated every cell in my body. I searched the air around me for the source of the voice, but nothing caught my eye.

“What do you want?” it boomed.  I hesitated; then, gathering my strength, I asked, “The two lives just described to me, what do they mean?”  A roar of laughter that seemed to shake the very walls preceded these cryptic words:  “Thirty years killing.  Thirty years healing.  Now, all is well.”  Nothing more was offered.  The session ended.  The man “woke up.”  Yet he never looked or acted quite the same after that, nor did I.  I was deeply affected by this session and the one before it, so much so that I eventually closed my practice of hypnotherapy, and began my own “inner journey” to the truth of being – the truth of who and what we really are.

P. M. H. Atwater, L.H.D., had three near-death experiences within three months in 1977.  One of the original researchers in the field of near-death studies, she began her examination of the phenomenon in 1978, resulting in 15 books on the subject, and numerous awards for her work.

"Dancing on a Stamp" and "Dancing Forever with Spirit" were the first two volumes in author Garnet Schulhauser's series. Now his third book, "Dance of Heavenly Bliss: Divine Inspiration for Humanity", was specifically written to instill in his readers a recognition of the urgent need to discard their negative emotions and embrace love and compassion for one another, for Mother Earth, and for all the creatures who share our planet. "Dance of Heavenly Bliss" reveals that we are all eternal souls traveling on unique journeys on Earth designed to help us grow and evolve as souls. And when our physical bodies perish we will all return to the spirit side where we will be welcomed back with unconditional love, as we eagerly plan the next steps in our evolution. Very highly recommended for the personal reading lists of the non-specialist general reader with an interest in metaphysical and spirituality studies.

Review of "Dance of Heavenly Bliss"

I have been re-reading the Education of a Guardian Angel and I feel so unbelievably connected to that energy and the truth of that energy since the moment I held the book in my hands for the first time. Don't laugh at me but I sleep with the book in my arms because I feel the loving energy through it. I am so very grateful that you contracted to bring this information. I have never contacted an author nor did I ever organize such presentations but I feel that I am one of many that need to support such teachings in a big way. I would even go further and say that I wish to be able to help others connect to their guides telepathically if I can be deemed as one of your assistants. I would love nothing more.

Fan Review of Education of a Gardian Angel

Dear Readers, how often in this column have we talked about our Spirit Guides? We’ve talked about how to connect with them directly, the messages they send to us synchronistically, and so much more. What we’ve never talked about, and frankly, I never gave it a thought until I read Education of a Guardian Angel by Annie Stillwater Gray, is the training and education necessary to be a Spirit Guide.

My Guides have often channeled information to the effect that we all have Guides, and when we’re not in body, we sometimes take on the role of Spirit Guide for another soul during their incarnation. But what does it take to prepare to be a Spirit Guide for another soul? Surprisingly, quite a bit! Ms. Gray notes that our Life Guides have undergone rigorous training in order to qualify to assist incarnated souls with the challenges of Earth life, and after reading this book, I have a new level appreciation for every one of my Guides. In fact, I am going to triple my “thank yous” for all of their help.

Education of a Guardian Angel is written in such a way that you won’t be able to put it down, and if you’re anything like me, you will have many AHA! and REALLY! and NO KIDDING! moments as you meet and learn about Darcimon Stillwater, a newly departed soul from Earth, who learns he has the opportunity to become a Spirit Guide. The narrative follows Darcimon (aka Darci) as he faces test after test, learning to interact with the human world as a Spirit Guide, and includes lots of great information about karma, birth imprints, death imprints, telepathy, healing, and the workings of the universe.’

What makes this book even more interesting is that Darcimon Stillwater is the author’s Life Guide, and has been working with her for more twenty five years. This book is their story, and as such is a very personal look into both of their lives and in-between lives, that made me weep with happiness.

I am so glad I reviewed this 117 page book on dowsing. It wasn't just the usual stuff on pendulums, but real in depth info on how to make dowsing rods from a pen tube and wire coat hanger and then even better the million and one ways to use them. I loved the format the author used because it is simple and to the point. The author has since passed on and his daughter who has continued his work chose to have this republished and we will be eternally grateful for it. There were clear graphs and charts throughout and wonderful practices that brought the explanations home to me. I would recommend this blessed classic to anyone serious about dowsing in all its many forms. It has easily made it's way into my spiritual toolbox. Thanks Dennis and Maria for this fascinating topic.

Review of The Essential Dowsing Guide

Janie Wells is a survivor. No parent should have to bury their child, but Janie was catapulted instantly into the reality of violent crime in 2001 with the capital murder of her 30-year-old daughter. Grief stricken, broken, and in shock, Janie not only picked up the pieces of her life, but discovered a passage to spiritual transformation by living each moment with honesty, raw emotion, and an open heart. "Embracing the Human Journey" is her intensely personal way of showing others a way to the comfort she herself was ultimately able to achieve. A compelling and inherently fascinating read, it should be noted that "Embracing the Human Journey" is also available in a Kindle format ($9.99).

Review of "Embracing the Human Journey" by Janie W

This 237 page tribute to past lives was a joy to review. I fell completely in love with the writier's style as she carefully took me from one interesting event to another. The read focused on a hypnotist and clients he was able to take back into past lives. I learned so much about the different lives of these people through an easy to follow format, that held my interest the whole way through. I found the life of June to be the most intriguing because I felt like I was right there with her, and it amazed me how she could be taken back to a certain year and the information would consistentently be the same. I found the pictures added a nice touch and I also thought it was great how the author presented the information that she was able to document. It helped me to see how reputable and clean they were in their process, and how they kept it as authentic as possible. I would recommend this exciting and eye opening guide to anyone who has a desire to learn more about past lives. Thanks Dolores, for sharing your fascinating self with the rest of us.

"Dancing Forever with Spirit" will appeal to readers feeling that there is help from the other side which is available to each and every one of us.  "Dancing Forever with Spirit" is the continuation of the saga of the author's spiritual awakening as recounted in the author's first book, "Dancing on a Stamp".  In this sequel, Schulhauser describes his most recent exploits with Albert who appeared one night to guide him on a series of out-of-body adventures to explore a dazzling white city on the Spirit Side, other planets in the galaxy with intriguing life forms, and some of the far-flung regions of our planet that suffer from human abuse.  These fascinating astral excursions were designed to inspire us to renounce the dark side of humanity in favour of spiritual enlightenment.

This book is exceptionally well written, organized and presented, "Dancing Forever with Spirit: Astonishing insights from Heaven" is very highly recommended for personal and community library Metaphysical Studies collections.  It should be noted that "Dancing Forever with Spirit" is also available in a Kindle edition.

Review of The Big Desire

Feng shui is a Chinese  philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding environment.  Feng shui is one of the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics, classified as physiognomy. The feng shui practice discusses architecture in metaphoric terms of “invisible forces” that bind the universe, earth, and humanity together.  This author puts a different spin on Feng shui and her premise is that we have to be harmonized on the inside before it ever really matters how we are harmonize our surroundings.  She goes on to teach you just how to get your inner self aligned so that you can move on to your environment, letting Feng shui have its most profound impact.  The book is well written and easy to read and apply.  I highly recommend it.

"Born Healers" is exceptionally well written, organized and presented throughout. Thoroughly 'reader friendly', informed and informative, thoughtful and thought-provoking, inspired and inspiring, "Born Healers" is strongly recommended, especially to non-specialist general readers with an interest in New Age Metaphysics and Alternative Medicine.

When Absence Becomes Presence: A review of Baby, It’s You

reviewed by Caroline LeBlanc (poet, Army wife-and-veteran)

There’s a point where absence becomes presence.

 Debra Kang Dean

As I was getting ready to write this review, one of my former poetry professors, whose husband died 10 years ago, posted a poem to honor the anniversary. The statement above came out of our exchange that followed. The contributors to Baby, It’s You: Messages from Deceased Heroes say similar things. “His signs clearly ask me to pay attention.” “I feel David is guiding these moments for me.” “I know Jason is with me, he is my love.” “It brought me comfort just like every other time he sends me a sign.” Finally, a Gold Star mother, who is considering starting a retreat center for veterans in honor of her son Killed In Action (KIA) by shrapnel, writes, “We are now in a place to feel the sweetness, and we hope to share that feeling with others.”

Baby, It’s You is a sharing of the heart’s loss and pain when a loved one dies, as well as the comfort, strength, and yes, sweetness of the spirit connections discovered after that death. The book is a compilation of lightly edited transcribed stories shared by people who lost loved ones in war or war related deaths. Mothers, wives, grandchildren, friends recount details of lives shared with loved ones while alive, and how their relationships evolved after their loved one left this physical plane. Whether you believe the dead can communicate with the living, or that such beliefs are the stuff of over-active imaginations, the accounts of human love and loss in Baby, It’s You will have you reaching for a tissue.

Baby, It’s You is about thirty-one people who died, and how their loved ones continue to feel the lost person’s positive presence in their lives. All but one of those who died are men. The one young woman who died was a daughter estranged from her veteran father during life. Her father tells of the signs of reconciliation she sent him after her death.

All but three who reported contact with loved ones after death are women: twenty-one wives, four mothers, two girlfriends. The ranks of military personnel who died ranged from Private First Class to Lieutenant Colonel. One male reporter was in the British RAF. Two second hand reports, given by men, were about the experience of women they knew. Two other accounts were by adult grandchildren whose dead grandparents sent helpful signs during particularly difficult times.

Of the fourteen combat area deaths, twelve active duty men were KIA in our recent wars (one drowned in water after his vehicle rolled into a ditch, the rest died by either an IED or small arms fire), one man died in Vietnam, and one died of a medical condition while deployed in Afghanistan. One of those KIA was shot in an ambush by an Iraqi soldier he was training. His mother had to raise a real stink to get the government to tell her the truth. Two active duty deaths were stateside training accidents–the military is a dangerous professions. No one questions the heroism of these fallen troops.

It’s a different story for the five men who committed suicide after deployments, even though at least three of them had over twenty years of service and multiple deployments. Elizabeth, the wife of Master Sergeant Steven Monnin, had to live through the following experience of having her husband’s heroism dismissed because of how he died.

I attended a Snowball Express Fair before Christmas. The event was an annual trip for gold star children in Dallas, Texas. There was an older lady attending a quilt booth. It was a memory quilt, and I was looking for my husband’s name when she told me, “The quilt is for heroes and Steven doesn’t qualify because he died by suicide stateside.”

I cried almost instantly! I was shocked that she said that to my face! This is what widows face—the judgment, the criticism, and the journey of veterans in this work.

Seven military men died stateside. One died of natural causes. Three died in motor vehicle accidents. Two civilians died in the nine-eleven attacks on the twin towers, one a young fireman on his second fire. Jennifer, whose husband Spc. Jason Hunt was killed in the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood, describes her experience.

At the funeral, the President of the United States told me that I would be taken care of. However, later the Fort Hood shooting was ruled an Act of Violence, prohibiting benefits he would have received if he had died overseas.

Even without this kind of disregard, survivors who had looked forward to years with their loved ones, end up heartbroken with grief and loneliness. Many suffer crises of confidence when left to face childrearing and the other challenges of life alone. Lost loved ones become important. They often send signs to not only their immediate intimates, but also other family members, including children and some who never met them in life.

Signs, which can lumped into general categories, nonetheless have idiosyncratic twists which personalize their significance for each individual. The book’s introduction is McGill’s 2 part list poem. Part One is, “We met…” and lists the range of how people met, from bars to jobs, grade school to college, blind dates to adjacent cars at red lights. Part Two is, “We meet now…” and lists some of the particular experiences described in the book. Rather than repeat her selection, here’s a description of the range of signs in my own list poem.

Your appear before me, our children, people who never met you.

On their own, things come on: lights blink, broken intercoms buzz.

I smell you, your cologne, your sweaty clothes, favorite foods, that “Army smell.”

You pull wise guy tricks, like you did during life. You make noises, mess with the lights, the doors, all kinds of things. You stop when I tell you to knock it off.

You come to me in dreams—sleeping and waking. You came to me before or when you died. You come to me even now that you are dead.

I feel your touch on my skin, the pressure of your hand on my shoulder. I feel your hug, your kiss.

You send me signs in the wind, and on the wind.

You make the temperature change (you always did), but now it can get cold as well as hot.

You warn me, protect me from danger and dangerous people.

You call my name, tell me you’re OK, that you love me, that I’m strong enough to do this without you.

You show up in photos, leave strange patterns on pictures.

You send me signs: animals, clogs, heart shaped things, coins, bobby pins, ribbons, sea shells…rainbows.

You come to me in sound, music, our song, our songs, and when I hear it just when I need to, I know that Baby, It’s You.

Anyone who has loved someone with a dangerous job in the military or civilian world, even a dangerous hobby, knows what it is like to live wondering if he or she will survive that day’s threat—or adrenaline rush, depending on your point of view. When my husband deployed for Desert Storm, I was sure I saw him in a television news report—his head, really—as he was helping to carry someone a stretcher into the field hospital. I ended up so tied to the TV, so close to palpitations and panic attacks, that I had to swear off television entirely, and the news until he finally stopped volunteering for deployments years later. Others have told me of similar experiences. And who hasn’t wondered how, not if, son, daughter, husband, wife, father, mother will come back changed in body, mind, and soul.

The word hero is sometimes used glibly, but there is nothing glib about the sacrifices made by the men and women whose stories populate Baby, It’s You. May we all, when it is our time to lose a loved one, have the comfort and companionship of his or her presence from their beyond in our here and now—in every way that has meaning for us.

Always Dreaming: A Five-Step Technique for Interpreting Our Waking Dream-Like Conflicts, by David Rivinus (Ozark Mountain Publishing) — At night we dream, but what about during the day? Are the experiences of our waking lives any different than those scenes that come to us while we sleep? The book Always Dreaming questions the nature of our daytime experiences. It argues that the perplexing or upsetting events of our waking hours are far more significant than we realize. They are in fact designed to instruct, not to distress. They unsettle us only because they are trying desperately to attract our attention. Always Dreaming teaches a simple, five-step technique for interpreting these dream-like conflicts. When we recognize upsetting events as metaphysical messages, then act on our new understanding, solutions present themselves, and these daytime irritants–called “waking dreams”–cease. An instructive narrative follows participants from their initial confrontations to the profound spiritual understandings and life changes that come when their dilemmas are resolved. Author David Rivinus has taught dream classes internationally highlighting both nighttime and “waking” dreams. He regularly facilitates a local dream seminar in his home town of Portland, Oregon.

"In Why?, Mr. Khera answered a lot of questions I've had my entire life. For those wondering what happens next, after we take our last breath in this body, this book may offer some insight. It certainly brought about a sense of calm and set aside all the fear I have had about my eventual departure from this life. This book is amazingly easy to read, yet provides great depth to the question I'm sure we've all asked at some point, 'Why?' As host of AuthorsWebTV.com, I've had the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Khera about Why? and I thank him for introducing me to his marvelous book."

Soul Choices: Six Paths to Find Your Life Purpose by Kathryn Andries (Published 2013) is a beautiful book that introduces us to six methods to help us discover our life purpose. The six methods we are introduced to are: Past Lives, Astrology, Numerology, Rayid Iris, Palmistry, and finally Family and Birth order.

We are then shown how these six methods can be combined together to help us find our life purpose. I had never heard of the Rayid Iris method and found it to be very interesting and look forward to learning more about it. Rayid Iris is basically looking at our eyes to find out more about ourselves. I like the exercises at the end of each chapter which showed us how each method represents us. I also enjoyed the exercises that integrated all the aspects together in order to help us find our life purpose.

I really enjoyed this book and think it is a good introduction to the six methods mentioned above. I also thought the cover of the book was very beautiful and fitting for this book. I would recommend this book to those who want a very brief introduction to the methods and also those who want to learn how to bring all of the methods together to find their purpose.

I acknowledge that I received this book free of charge from Ozark Mountain Publishing in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion of the book.

This 291 page teacher was a thrill to review because I learned so much about so much on a metaphysical level. I learned about reincarnation, guides, astral travel, aromatherapy, and even learned about the void and a whole lot more. This read was so filled with great info that I needed to take it in small chunks, but I found myself continually coming back for more. I liked the personal accounts very much. I would recommend this well rounded enlightened helper to anyone wanting a better understanding of spirit on a whole bunch of levels. Thanks Grant, for sharing with the rest of us.

It was a real trip reviewing this 366 page champion. I just learned so much about so much. The author was able to take a little bit of everything and bring it into a comprehensive formula that can help me with the relationships in my life.  Which is amazing in its self, but she does it with past lives, numerology, palmistry, astrology, family and birth order and even something called iris analysis.  The info here can be used for many different types of relationships form romantic to even our enemies.  I would recommend this big helpful fella to anyone wanting the inside scoop on connecting.  Thanks Kathryn, You poured your heart and soul into this one.

Are you an intrepid explorer of the unknown? Do you enjoy having your mind twisted in ways you never thought possible? Are you ready to leap down the rabbit hole and emerge in undiscovered territory? Well then...The Convoluted Universe (Volumes 1-3) is your ticket!

Dolores Cannon’s involvement in the field of hypnosis for over 40 years has resulted in many thought provoking books. She also lectures around the world and teaches her very special method of induction. Cannon began her career as a hypnotherapist, aiming to help her clients solve their problems through the process of hypnosis.

It was during one of these early sessions that her amazing journey into the unknown began. While under hypnosis, her client suddenly transformed before her eyes – a totally different personality emerged with it’s own vocal patterns and body language. In the next series of sessions she regressed her client to 5 distinct lifetimes back to when she was created by God! Cannon’s life and belief system was changed forever. Fascinated, she now saw this work as a way to explore the history of our world and beyond - “firsthand”.

In the late ‘70’s she discovered that the majority of problems people experience can be traced back to events that occurred in their past lives, instead of their present ones    Over the years she has developed her own method of regression, and is able to quickly get her clients to the somnambulist trance state which is the deepest possible trance state. It is there that she is able to contact and communicate with the individual’s subconscious.

Through her books, Cannon brings us along with her as she regresses her clients back to past lives and beyond. The narrative voice is engaging and down to earth. She shares her internal dialogue as she comes to terms with the strange situations and areas of the unknown her clients find themselves in. The most amazing thing to me, is the shocking similarity of information brought forth by these people from all over the world - all strangers to her and each other. That really got me thinking. Buried deep within our subconscious lies a wealth of experience and information. And the knowledge that we are all connected.

Volume One of The Convoluted Universe transports you to the days of Atlantis, where you’ll learn about many Earth mysteries such as the lines of the Nazca Plains, Easter Island, the Pyramids, and so much more. You will explore parallel universes, group souls, other planets, alien life, other dimensions, and more. Most of all, when you come to the end of the book you will want more! Not to worry there are three volumes, with another on the way!

Volume Two begins with insight into Cannon’s personal journey. You will stand beside her clients as they relate accounts of their past lives in places such as ancient Egypt, Atlantis, and hidden underground cities. You will hear about life on other planets, time portals, karma, star people, advanced beings, aborigines, creator beings, facets of the soul, raising of vibrations, frequencies, the New Earth, and things you could never have imagined! By now you should be brimming with questions and a longing to discover more. Just in time for Volume Three!

Volume Three takes you on adventures in non-human bodies, delivers mind-bending concepts,
and lots of information on the upcoming changes for the Human race There are more insights into previously unknown areas than I can mention here. I don’t want to give away any more of the book!
Read The Convoluted Universe and your vision of the world and reality will never be the same!

Review of The Convoluted Universe Books 1-3

The title of this book belies its wide-ranging subject matter. It does indeed give insight into the true power of Mary Magdalene, and the faxcinating story of the female desciples. But it is a veritable treasurehouse of so much more: rituals of the ancient Egyptian Mystery Schoold, crystals, indigo and rainbow children, light conception and detailed information about the healing carried out on Jeshua (Jesus) following his crucifixion are all included. It is not written as a narrative, but as a series of past life sessions carried out with different people. The authors add their comments as appropriate. My expectation was that this would disrupt the flow of the information. This was not the case, and reading the accounts of past events in the words of those who experienced them enhanced their authenticity. Information was also channeled from an angelic being called Alariel, and here again the energy was powerful. I found this a fascinating book, and one I will surely refer to in the future. The Power of the Magdalene is a sequel to 'The Essenes - Children of the Light' by the same authors, also based on the information from past life sessions.

The universe is an ancient thing, and a few thousand years is nothing in the universe. 'Gardens of the Elder Gods' is a metaphysical study of the existence of civilization and contact with other worlds made by M. Don Schorn, whose research on the topics tries to find proof of otherworldly meddling in our ancient history, the role of the great flood, and the ancient advancements of mankind. 'Gardens of the Elder Gods' is filled with musings for the metaphysical thinker to ponder, recommended.

A Spiritual Evolution
Nikki Pattillo
Ozark Mountain Publishing 2011

Author Nikki Pattillo is back.  You may remember this author from reading her previous book, Children of the Stars.  Well as they say good things come in small packages, and those were my exact thoughts when I finished reading her new book A Spiritual Evolution.

Written and presented in a very simple and concise way, Pattillo reminds us in her book that we are all on a spiritual journey. Actually a spiritual evolution that is currently taking place on Earth.  As a result of taking this journey, over time humanity's vibrational frequencies have become elevated and we have changed, as a whole, for the better.  This evolution/ascension and it's adjustments have not come without difficulty however.  Bringing together the higher and lower aspects of ourselves can be very difficult for people to do even under the best of circumstances.  How we choose to conduct ourselves and the life choices we make every day determine how difficult this alignment is for us individually.

A Spiritual Evolution provides an overview and explanation of the basic spiritual guidelines and principals that we should all know and follow.  It encourages us to make choices and live our lives with positive intent.  Although Pattillo maintains that she learned these spiritual principles through her Angels, they are also the same basic spiritual core content that you will find inherent in almost any religion or spiritual practice.  To me it really doesn't matter where these spiritual principals originated.  What's important is that we know that they exist.  That we remind ourselves of them daily and try to apply them to our lives.

There is an array of topics discussed in this book.  Pattillo's clear and concise explanation of Karma and Reincarnation is probably one of the best that I have ever read (and I have been reading spiritual topics since my childhood).  There are also sections on manifesting abundance into your life, meditation, and compassion.  How important it is to connect to humanity to help uplift the general consciousness and awareness.  As she quotes author/illustrator Joan Walsh Anglund: "One seed can start a garden; one drop can start a sea; one doubt can start a hating; one dream can set you free."

There are several sections in particular that I enjoyed in A Spiritual Evolution.  In the chapter, Spiritual Lessons in a Spiritual Evolution, Pattillo gives a list she refers to as "The Golden Compass of Spiritual Lessons".  It's basically a spiritual Golden Rule - 8 things we should all remember and try to incorporate into our lives on a daily basis.  Some examples include;  Live life in Forgiveness, Be grateful, and Don't judge others - we don't know what their life purpose is...which gave me pause for thought. Yes, we all know we should refrain from judging others.  But do we all remember that if someone is having a less then desirable life or has had something bad happen to them, then maybe they are actually working though a life lesson?  That one idea alone can completely alter our perception of others, making us more compassionate and loving as a result.

In the chapter Path of Awakening there is a list of 25 principals we should remember that, if applied, will help guide us more smoothly down our life path.  Examples include:  Everything in life is related, No one soul is superior to another, Belief creates, and There is a higher purpose.

A Spiritual Evolution pulls from a variety of sources and that's one of the reasons why I think this book is so well rounded.  Quotes from Buddhist and Taoist text, Native American belief systems, Christianity and contemporary authors and life coaches.  At the conclusion of the books there is also a list and explanation of the seven archangels that are found in a number of religious traditions.

I would recommend this thoughtful, uplifting book to anyone.  Well done Nikki Pattillo!

Review of A Spiritual Evolution from Mind Body Spi

"You Were Destined to Be Together is a spiritual guide that discusses the soul and the closeness that forms between two people who have found the ultimate togetherness. Deeply profound and speaking clearly on what makes this bond strong, You Were Destined to Be Together is a metaphysical spin of love and the soul finding what it needs to be complete."

This was a great read that was well-written as well as helpful.  Our emotions—especially the most damaging of them—can become a dominating force within us if we do not get a hold of them. Of course, most of us like to think that our feelings do not control us, yet we  find it quite difficult to govern how they affect us when the storms of life arise. Given the right combination of circumstances and stressors, our emotions have the potential to motivate us to act recklessly and can also paralyze us from doing what is necessary.  This book will help you get a grip on your emotions, leading us to both heal and harness our emotions—taking control of this powerful influence within us.  With the help of the author we can we choose to express the positive, life-enhancing emotions rather than the destructive ones.

"...it's quite possibly one of the most essential reads for any neophyte, and the text itself may well accomplish the author's goal, which in his words are not to say 'this is the answer,' but rather 'to inspire and encourage people more about spirituality' and to ultimately find their own path."

The Master of Everything: A Story of Mankind and the World of Illusion We Call Life, by James Nussbaumer (Ozark Mountain Publishing) — In 2008, financial planner James Nussbaumer was convicted of felony theft. At age fifty, he found himself incarcerated and facing a ten-year prison term. On his first night in prison, he was stunned when the locker he is assigned contains a worn, dusty book no one will claim — a book for which he has been searching: A Course in Miracles. His in-depth study of its lessons, combined with frank descriptions of his prison life, will guide readers to a supreme freedom of their own. By turns instructive, challenging, humorous, and elevating Nussbaumer’s inspirational memoir takes us on an inner journey to becoming The Master of Everything. Are there times you feel you’re not living at your true potential? Could it just possibly be you don’t know the depths of your real knowledge? Why are we afraid to reach within? Nussbaumer’s time in prison had surely been hell, and had also been unexpectedly fruitful, resulting in his return to his first love, writing. It is here, with a series that begins with The Master of Everything, where he answers our life’s questions. The manuscripts were painstakingly handwritten in lined notebooks and the material just kept coming.

Rich with personal anecdotes and a generous dose of humor, this book is a wonderful guide to help us see Windows of Opportunity in our every day lives."

Rosemary Gladstar, author

"In her book, Windows of Opportunity, Sherri Cortland gives the reader a brilliant and perspective approach into understanding who we are, why we re here and the very nature of our existence. This book is essential reading for anyone wanting to know answers from the other side of the veil about life s lessons and the purpose of our life s journeys."

Nikki Pattillo, author

To some, there are many more things to our world than simply science and God. "Beyond the Source" is a deeply metaphysical read from Guy Steven Needler as he presents his own takes on the new age spirituality, exploring God and the multiverse and trying to bring it all together for ourselves to have a better understanding through it all.  With plenty to ponder on the nature of the universe and energy and what lies beyond our sight, "Beyond the Source" is worth considering for metaphysical individuals, recommended.

When I heard she was writing a book, I eagerly and excitedly awaited Soul Speak (The Language of Your Body)--I was not disappointed.
